As part of our psychiatrist MD practice, you will play a vital role in guiding individuals through their recovery journey, particularly in the treatment of eating disorders.

Work Environment\n

This role is predominantly remote, allowing you to engage with clients through virtual consultations while also having the opportunity to meet with clients at our outpatient office when needed. Your work schedule will align with regular business hours, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing a balanced work-life structure.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ symptoms related to eating disorders, along with any co-occurring mental health conditions, to determine treatment needs.

• Create and implement tailored treatment plans collaboratively with clients that are evidence-based, focusing on their unique journeys and recovery goals.
\n
• Facilitate therapy sessions utilizing respected modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to address underlying issues and distorted beliefs surrounding food, body image, and self-esteem.

• Assist clients in cultivating healthy coping strategies, improving emotional regulation, and developing skills to counteract disordered eating behaviors.
\n
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure coordinated care, maintaining a consistent approach to address clients’ comprehensive needs.

• Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families, ensuring they understand the complexities of eating disorders and fostering a supportive home environment for recovery.

• Maintain detailed and timely documentation of client interactions, progress, and treatment outcomes in accordance with both legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and understanding of eating disorder treatment.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Kansas.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapies specifically designed for eating disorders, including CBT, DBT, and ACT.

• Strong background understanding the complexities surrounding eating disorders and related co-occurring mental health conditions.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, enabling you to build rapport and trust with clients effectively.
