Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients' mental health to understand individual needs and challenges, using tools such as structured interviews and standardized assessments.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based techniques tailored to the unique circumstances of each client.

• Provide individual therapy sessions, leveraging therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), or other relevant approaches based on client preferences.

• Collaborate regularly with clients to set achievable therapeutic goals and continuously monitor their progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing feedback and assessment.

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and client progress in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards, utilizing electronic health record systems.

• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay informed on emerging practices, methodologies, and trends in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health counselor, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our clinic serves a variety of demographics, reflecting the rich cultural tapestry of Fairway and surrounding areas. This role requires an understanding of different cultural backgrounds and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to serve clients holistically.

Qualifications\n

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Candidates with a master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling are preferred.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish trust and build rapport with clients effectively.

• A compassionate and empathetic mindset, providing non-judgmental support that respects clients' individual experiences.

• Excellent organizational skills, along with the capacity to manage a significant caseload and administrative responsibilities efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of experience in providing mental health counseling or therapy in outpatient or community health settings.
