The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining CNC machinery used in the fabrication of HVAC, plumbing, and piping components. This position plays a key role in producing high-quality parts and assemblies that meet project specifications, production schedules, and company quality standards.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Set up and operate CNC equipment, including plasma tables, pipe cutting machines, drill lines, beam lines, and other automated fabrication equipment.* Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, work orders, cut sheets, and fabrication specifications.* Load materials and verify dimensions, material types, and quantities prior to production.* Monitor machine operation to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with quality standards.* Perform routine quality inspections using measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.* Identify and correct dimensional or quality issues before materials move to the next production stage.* Perform machine adjustments, tooling changes, and minor troubleshooting.* Maintain production records and complete required documentation accurately.* Work closely with detailers, welders, fitters, and production personnel to ensure efficient workflow.* Conduct daily machine inspections and basic preventive maintenance.* Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.* Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.* Assist with inventory control and material handling as needed.* Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, productivity, and fabrication efficiency.**Benefits**Comfort Systems USA Southwest offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including:* Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance* 401(k) with Company Match* Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays* Life and Disability Insurance* Employee Assistance Program* Career Development and Advancement Opportunities* Training and Certification Support
