Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.How you'll contributeA Respiratory Therapist who excels in this role:Collects arterial blood samples using a blood gas analyzer; perform bedside EKGs, and tobacco-cessation education as ordered.Delivers ordered respiratory therapies; monitors, records, and communicates patient condition and response to treatment.Responds to codes and emergent calls; assesses patient condition and provides appropriate interventions.Evaluates and contributes to respiratory care policies and procedures based on outcomes, research, and best practices.Educates patients and families on illness, treatments, device use, and community resources.Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory supplies and medical gas cylinders; maintains storage areas and equipment readiness.Disassembles, cleans, sterilizes, performs preventive maintenance, and calibrates respiratory equipment.Performs all responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.Participates in performance improvement and required education.Performs other duties as assigned.Why join usEmployee Well-being: Mental, physical, and financial wellness programs (free gym memberships, virtual care appointments, mental health services and discount programs).Professional Development: Ongoing learning and career advancement opportunities.Competitive Pay RatesSuperior Quality Patient OutcomesSupportive Leadership and CultureWhat we're looking forThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.Education: Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required.License: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in state of North Carolina.Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.More about Rutherford Regional Health SystemRutherford Regional Health System partnership with Duke LifePoint Healthcare is bringing the pieces together to transform healthcare in Rutherford County.
