About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Underwriting Practices in Small Commercial Lines. The successful candidate will be a strategic and inspiring leader, driving a data-centric, solution-oriented culture. This role is pivotal in transforming data into strategic assets, enabling faster, smarter decision-making, and integrating data from various stakeholders. The AVP will lead a high-performing team responsible for assessing product performance, deploying advanced analytics solutions, and ensuring the integration of insights across the enterprise. Key responsibilities include strategic partnership with senior leaders, performance monitoring, and the deployment of predictive models and AI solutions to enhance business performance. Candidates for this role should have a college degree, with an advanced degree being preferable, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in related roles. Extensive knowledge of commercial lines products, underwriting methodology, and pricing principles is essential. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in business analytics, a proven ability to lead and coach others, and strong leadership capabilities. Exceptional communication skills, strategic agility, and the ability to influence stakeholders are also required. The role demands an individual with a strong background in project management, organizational design, and change leadership, as well as the ability to champion data-driven strategies that deliver measurable impact.
