Client Accounting Services Accountant I

We’re growing our Client Accounting Services (CAS) team and are looking for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning their work and building trusted client relationships. As a CAS Accounting Specialist , you’ll manage a portfolio of clients, conduct the monthly close process, and serve as a go‑to accounting partner for small to mid‑sized businesses. This role is a great fit for someone who’s confident juggling deadlines across multiple clients, understands how financial statements truly work together, and is comfortable working independently once onboarded, while still valuing collaboration and team support. What You'll Do... Complete the full monthly close process for assigned clients from start to finish Maintain and review general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and completeness Prepare and analyze financial statements, identifying inconsistencies or unusual trends Perform and review complex bank and balance sheet reconciliations Oversee AP and AR workflows, ensuring proper coding and timely processing Support payroll processing and related reporting Maintain organized, audit‑ready workpapers and documentation Collaborate with tax and advisory teams to support compliance and year‑end reporting Communicate financial results, questions, and issues clearly and professionally with client leadership Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements as you see opportunities What We're Looking For... You’re a capable, thoughtful accounting professional who takes pride in doing things the right way. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Finance considered with strong accounting experience), or an Associate’s degree in Accounting with 4+ years of progressive, full‑cycle accounting experience in a multi‑client or multi‑entity environment 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting, outsourced accounting, or a similar multi‑entity setting Proven ability to manage the full month‑end close process Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual‑based accounting Experience preparing complete financial statements with minimal oversight Proficiency with cloud‑based accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online required; Double/Keeper experience a plus) Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and basic data analysis Comfortable managing multiple client deadlines without losing attention to detail What It's Like to Work Here...
