A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist eager to make a difference in patient care. This contract role offers the chance to work nights, providing essential respiratory therapy services alongside an expert clinical team.


Schedule/Hours:

• Night shifts
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Qualifications:

• Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Active NYS Respiratory Therapist License
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience in critical care and NICU environments
• Proficient with V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records
• Prior experience participating in external patient transport is necessary

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in acute settings, including intensive care and NICU
• Set up, operate, and manage non-invasive and mechanical ventilators and related respiratory equipment
• Accurately assess patient conditions, report changes, and document interventions in EPIC
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized respiratory care plans
• Maintain readiness to participate in patient transports outside the hospital as needed, ensuring patient stability during transfers
• Follow all protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based practice guidelines
