This role will be responsible for overseeing project financial performance, revenue forecasting, project setup governance, and Deltek Vantagepoint administration. The ideal candidate is both a project accounting expert and a Deltek Vantagepoint superuser who can help ensure projects are structured correctly from inception to support accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and operational decision-making.This position works closely with the director of administration, accountants, project managers, and executive leadership to improve project profitability, billing accuracy, revenue recognition, and forecasting visibility across the organization.Exante360 is building an AI-forward organization. Ideal candidates are proactive in learning and applying new technologies, comfortable integrating AI tools into their workflow where appropriate, and capable of combining technology with sound business judgment to deliver exceptional results.**What You’ll Do****Project Financial Management*** Partner with project managers to review project financial performance on an ongoing basis.* Monitor project budgets, labor utilization, earned revenue, WIP, invoicing, and profitability.* Identify project financial risks and recommend corrective actions.* Assist project managers in understanding project financial metrics and key performance indicators.* Participate in project review meetings and provide financial guidance.**Revenue Forecasting & Reporting*** Develop and maintain company-wide project revenue forecasts.* Analyze project backlog, burn rates, staffing plans, and project schedules to improve forecast accuracy.* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting reports for leadership.* Track forecast-to-actual performance and identify variances.**Deltek Vantagepoint Administration*** Serve as the firm's primary Deltek Vantagepoint subject matter expert for project accounting* Establish and maintain project setup standards and governance procedures.* Review and approve complex project configurations.* Ensure proper project structures, billing terms, labor categories, revenue methods, and reporting hierarchies are established.* Lead system enhancements, testing, training, and continuous process improvement initiatives.**Artificial Intelligence & Process Improvement*** Leverage AI tools to improve project setup efficiency, forecasting accuracy, reporting quality, and data validation.* Identify opportunities to automate repetitive accounting and project administration processes.* Develop workflows and best practices utilizing emerging AI technologies.**Collaboration & Training*** Train project managers and project teams on project financial management best practices.* Serve as a trusted advisor to project manager’s regarding project accounting procedures and financial decision-making.* Collaborate with accounting leadership to improve financial controls and operational workflows.* Support audits, reporting requirements, and financial analysis initiatives.**Education/Experience Requirements*** Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field is required.* Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) training, 3 years of ERP administrator experience is required.* Deltek Vantagepoint experience preferred.* Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.* Demonstrated experience using AI, automation, data analytics, or other emerging technologies to improve efficiency, decision-making, collaboration, or business outcomes.**What Success Looks like in the First 12 months*** Increased accuracy in project forecasting and growth management* Improved ERP reporting* Project manager satisfaction* Adoption of project accounting best practices* Process automation and efficiency gains**Why This Role Matters**This role serves as the financial business partner to project managers, ensuring that projects are set up correctly, managed proactively, forecasted accurately, and delivered profitably.
