Key Responsibilities\n

• Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to gather essential information regarding clients' mental health history, presenting challenges, and psychosocial environments.

• Diagnosis: Utilize the DSM-5 and other diagnostic tools to accurately identify and diagnose mood disorders.

• Psychotherapy: Apply various modalities of evidence-based psychotherapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to individual client situations.

• Medication Management Collaboration: Work closely with psychiatrists to coordinate medication management and monitor client responses to treatment.

• Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention for clients experiencing acute psychiatric crises, ensuring safety and effective stabilization.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience working with clients dealing with mood disorders.

• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and a penchant for continuous learning in mental health trends.

Four or more years of focused experience in counseling individuals with mood disorders or related mental health challenges will be preferred, along with advanced training in specialized methodologies relevant to mood disorder treatment. The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 100,000 and 105,000 annually, supplemented by potential bonuses.
