Job Responsibilities

• Customize Treatment Plans: Assess patient needs and craft tailored therapy strategies to help them reach their individual functional goals
• Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based methodologies to enhance patients' motor skills, cognitive functioning, and daily living activities
• Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to provide holistic care
• Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and their family members through therapy techniques to support progress at home
• Track Patient Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and modify treatment plans as necessary to keep patients on the path to success

Education Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Encouragement of continuous education or further certifications

Licensure

• Current active Occupational Therapist (OTR) license
• NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is required
