We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a service-oriented organization in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This position suited for someone who is organized, detail-focused, and comfortable managing both payables and receivables in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong data accuracy, sound accounting support experience, and confidence working with QuickBooks and invoice processing tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare payments in a timely and accurate manner.

• Maintain customer billing records, apply incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.

• Enter financial information into accounting systems with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.

• Reconcile account details and review transactions to identify discrepancies and support clean financial records.

• Use QuickBooks to update account activity, track payment status, and assist with routine accounting functions.

• Organize and maintain invoice files and related records to ensure documentation is complete and easy to retrieve.

• Communicate with internal team members and external contacts to resolve billing or payment issues efficiently.

• Hands-on experience supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks in an accounting or bookkeeping environment.
• Strong data entry skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience processing invoices and maintaining organized financial documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills for handling payment and billing inquiries.
• Basic understanding of accounting procedures and transaction reconciliation.
