inventory/Shipping and Receiving

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control & Materials Specialist to maintain accurate inventory levels, support production needs, and assist with shipping and receiving operations. In this role, you will play a critical part in tracking raw materials and finished goods, preventing production delays, and optimizing stockroom processes.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Cycle Counting: Perform routine cycle counts and inventory audits for raw materials and finished goods; maintain precise inventory records.
Production Support: Pull work orders for production in a timely manner. Identify and immediately report component shortages to the Materials Manager and sub-assembly/silk-screen shortages to the Plant Supervisor.
Stockroom & Material Handling: Daily movement of finished goods from production to the stockroom, verifying work order documentation. Pack, stock, and organize power supplies, chargers, and floor stock.
Shipping, Receiving & Returns: Process daily receiving by verifying physical quantities against packing slips. Handle Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) procedures and verify returned goods accuracy. Assist shipping/expediting teams with order staging, packaging, and carrier processing as needed.
Process Improvement: Recommend enhancements for scheduling, packaging, and inventory efficiency to the leadership team. Assist the Materials Manager with special projects and maintain clean, safe stockroom housekeeping.

Qualifications & Requirements

Proven experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or stockroom/warehouse operations.
Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and freight processing procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately verify documentation against physical stock.
Clear communication skills to report material shortages and collaborate across departments.
Ability to lift, move, and organize inventory effectively in a fast-paced environment.
