Quick Facts Location: Clinton, NC Start Date: 07/23/2026 End Date/Duration: October 16, 2026 Shift: 24-hour call Hours/week: Not specified Employment Type: Travel / Locum License/Certs: Active NC license, NC DEA, Board Certification required Experience: General orthopedic surgery experience required Pay & Benefits Pay rate: $1.00/hour (please note, this seems to be placeholder or internal info; actual pay package discussed upon application) Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements (when applicable) What You’ll Do Provide general orthopedic surgical care, including wrist, ankle, and hip fractures, as well as incision and drainage procedures Manage and stabilize long bone trauma, coordinating transfers to appropriate facilities Conduct consults and visits to ED for closed reductions and admissions (expected 0-3 consults per day, 0-2 ED visits) Perform surgeries during on-call hours, including fracture repairs and trauma procedures Maintain hospital on Meditech platform and collaborate with hospital team during call shifts What You Need Required: Active North Carolina medical license and DEA registration (NC address) Board certification in orthopaedic surgery Vaccination against COVID-19 Credentialing with Medicaid/Medicare and enrollment with PECOS Preferred: Experience with trauma and fracture management Comfortable working in a hospital setting with emergency procedures About the Assignment Join a busy hospital in Clinton, NC, providing orthopaedic surgical care on a short-term locum basis. The role involves emergency and scheduled surgeries, consults, and ED visits, with a focus on trauma stabilization and fracture management. Travel expenses are capped at $500, covering airfare or rental car mileage. Providers must live within 20 minutes of the hospital and be credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare.
