Senior Program Manager - Value Based Care

Senior Program Manager – Value Based Care Job Overview This role is responsible for overseeing and managing multiple projects within the organization, leading cross‑functional teams, developing project plans, monitoring progress, allocating resources, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The manager leads enterprise‑level strategic initiatives and special projects that advance health plan performance, provider partnerships, and market growth. They communicate with stakeholders, identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and drive cross‑functional collaboration and strategic decision‑making. Responsibilities Executes and oversees programs that meet the needs of the organization and maintains a high‑level view to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy. Participates in all aspects of program delivery, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance. Promotes the program throughout the organization and tracks engagement. Supervises program or project staff to ensure work is completed on time and in accordance with established standards or specifications. Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data to support key performance metrics. Ensures activities comply with organizational policies and relevant external regulations. Provides reports and updates to senior leadership or other stakeholders. Serves as an authority with expert‑level knowledge in healthcare and health‑plan operations, making authoritative decisions and recommendations. Plans, organizes, and guides projects and matrixed employees, and may consult in other areas as needed. Anticipates and mitigates risks across program initiatives, advising senior leadership on project dependencies, barriers, and potential solutions. Takes ownership of special projects and strategic efforts, proactively identifying opportunities to drive value and performance improvements in provider performance, market success, and operational effectiveness. Collaborates closely with internal teams to integrate strategy with operations, ensuring cross‑functional alignment and operational readiness. Seeks innovation, including curiosity about AI, to transform how the organization operates and serves members. Qualifications At least 5 years of related experience. At least 5 years of leadership experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to develop, mentor, and coach others. Business insight with an in‑depth understanding of the business. Optimizes work processes and designs processes that allow managing from a distance. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Detail oriented and able to meet deadlines. Project management skills. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SQL, and Access. Benefits and Compensation Base salary range: $125,400 to $181,419 per year.
