Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments that address the mental health needs of students, utilizing structured interviews and standardized tools to gather relevant information.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions, family therapy, and group interventions, employing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused therapy.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that outline specific therapy goals and measurable outcomes, regularly reviewing and adjusting these plans based on progress and changing needs.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including educators, psychologists, and parents, to ensure a cohesive approach to each individual’s mental health care.

• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as needed, effectively managing acute mental health issues that may arise within the school context.

• Document all clinical interactions thoroughly in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of client information.

• Lead psychoeducation workshops and peer support groups within the school community, enhancing awareness and understanding of mental health issues among students and staff.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will predominantly involve collaborating with young clients ranging from elementary to high school age, many of whom may experience challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. You will be instrumental in providing support tailored to the unique developmental and cultural needs of all students, promoting an inclusive environment where each child feels valued and understood.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid New York State Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Compensation and Benefits\n
