Manager, Brand Strategy & Communications

Role Description

As Manager, Brand Strategy and Communications, you will own the company's brand strategy, positioning, and messaging architecture, translating business priorities and consumer insights into a clear, differentiated narrative across PR, eCommerce (Amazon), retail, and owned channels. You'll lead PR strategy, serve as the go-to source of truth for brand and messaging, and develop sharp briefs that help cross-functional teams move faster. Acting as a connector across product, growth, creative, and channel teams, you'll drive the alignment needed to bring integrated, performance-driven campaigns to life with speed and clarity.

• Brand Strategy & Positioning:
  • Define and evolve brand positioning, differentiation, and competitive framing
  • Translate consumer insights, performance data, and category trends into brand strategy
  • Own target audience definition and ensure clarity of who the brand is built for
  • Ensure brand strategy is consistently reflected across all touchpoints and campaigns
• Messaging & Narrative Architecture:
  • Own the end-to-end messaging framework, including master brand narrative, pillar messaging and proof points and product-level positioning and claims hierarchy
  • Translate business priorities (innovation, hero SKUs, retail moments, Amazon growth) into a clear messaging roadmap
  • Ensure messaging consistency across Amazon PDPs, retail materials, and campaigns
• PR Strategy & Execution:
  • Set and lead PR strategy and storytelling priorities
  • Manage agency to drive meaningful media coverage, product launches, press moments, and award submissions
  • Identify proactive storytelling opportunities (thought leadership, cultural hooks)
  • Ensure PR reinforces core brand positioning, not just campaigns
• Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC):
  • Own the integrated communications calendar across launches, campaigns, and seasonal moments
  • Develop campaign messaging frameworks and ensure consistency across paid, organic, retail, and eCommerce
  • Partner with channel leads to translate brand strategy into execution
• Creative & Brief Leadership:
  • Serve as the central owner of creative briefs
  • Ensure all briefs clearly define objective, audience, insight, and messaging
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders upfront to improve speed and quality of execution
• Product & Innovation Storytelling:
  • Partner with product and R&D to translate features into clear, compelling consumer-facing benefits
  • Ensure product marketing ladders to overall brand positioning and narrative
  • Support innovation launches across Amazon and retail environments

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in brand strategy, brand communications, or integrated marketing
• Experience in a CPG or omnichannel brand (Amazon + retail required)
• Proven ability to develop brand positioning and messaging frameworks (not just execute)
• Strong understanding of eCommerce content (PDPs, conversion messaging, creative performance)
• Experience leading PR agencies and cross-functional teams
• Strong strategic thinking paired with operator mindset (can both define and execute)
• Exceptional writing, storytelling, and messaging clarity
