Description

• Conduct assessments for patients in either an inpatient or outpatient environment and craft personalized treatment plans
• Implement physical therapy interventions that focus on mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence
• Work hand-in-hand with nurses, physicians, case managers, and fellow rehabilitation professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic goals, discharge protocols, and home-based exercise plans
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in alignment with regulatory and facility standards
• Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification is preferable
• Additional specialized certifications (such as neurological or geriatric) are beneficial but not mandatory

Skills

• Prior experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to treat patients with complex medical conditions and mobility challenges
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
