Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs using established assessment tools, tests, and measures.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans that reflect the goals and needs identified during patient evaluations, ensuring compliance with best practices in physical therapy.
• Perform screenings for risk factors such as Lymphedema and fall risks, providing timely interventions to prevent complications.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation within our electronic medical record system, including treatment progress and billing charges.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to coordinate and improve patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans and recovery strategies.
• Engage in professional development opportunities, including contributing to departmental education efforts, presentations, and publications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Physical Therapist at Positive Change Therapy, you will work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from physical injuries, managing chronic illnesses, or dealing with developmental disabilities. Your expertise will play a crucial role in restoring function, improving mobility, alleviating pain, and preventing disabilities. You will also have the opportunity to work with pediatric patients, tailoring interventions to meet their specific developmental needs.

Qualifications

• Possess a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• Hold a current Physical Therapist license in Florida.
• Proven proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and strong foundational knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to work effectively with children and patients of all ages, adapting techniques as necessary.
• Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and comfortable navigating both clinical and home care environments.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital or related setting.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
