Details Pediatric ICU (PICU) setting at an academic medical center Patients include critically ill pediatric patients with cardiac anomalies and complex respiratory needs Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators required in this unit Night shift: 3x12‑hour shifts, 18:45–07:15 Schedule is published in 6‑week blocks 6 weekend shifts required per schedule block No on‑call requirement Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are eligible at a reduced rate 13‑week contract Requirements Current NC RRT license or Compact RRT license in hand at time of consideration — license required if applicable Active certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS — all must be in hand at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, pediatrics, and ED Level IV NICU experience required Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators required Experience with pediatric cardiac anomalies required Level 1 trauma experience required 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Flu vaccine required seasonally (October 31 – March 31); no exemptions accepted Additional Information First‑time travelers are eligible to apply for this position Orientations are held bi‑weekly American Traveler Job ID #P-715961.
