Chief Estimator

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Estimator to lead our estimating function across major data centre and mission critical construction projects throughout the United States. About the Role: As Chief Estimator, you will provide strategic leadership for the estimating department, overseeing bid preparation, cost planning, and preconstruction services for data centre and mission critical projects. You'll work closely with executive leadership, operations teams, and clients to secure profitable projects while mentoring and developing a high-performing estimating team. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the estimating department across multiple data centre and mission critical projects. Develop competitive and accurate cost estimates for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and mission critical facilities. Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing for electrical, mechanical, structural, and fit‑out scopes. Identify project risks, constructability challenges, and value engineering opportunities. Collaborate with Business Development and Operations teams during the pursuit process. Present estimates and bid strategies to senior leadership. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors. Mentor and develop estimating professionals while driving continuous improvement within the department. What We're Looking For 10+ years of construction estimating experience. Proven leadership experience managing estimating teams. Strong background in data centre, mission critical, industrial, or large‑scale commercial projects. Expert knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control. Experience with estimating software such as HCSS, Sage Estimating, OST, Bluebeam, or similar platforms. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
