Description

• Create tailored treatment plans that encompass both immediate and long-term objectives for communication, cognition, and swallowing.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure an integrated approach to care.
• Provide education and resources for patients and families aimed at enhancing progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Conduct inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the treatment process.
• Document patient progress meticulously to align with state, federal, and organizational standards.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
