Surgical Technologist - Labor & Delivery

Join one of the nation's leading Labor & Delivery teams, supporting more than 6,000 births each year in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment.
At BWH, Surgical Techs are key members of the OB surgical team, assisting with:
*Cesarean sections
*Emergency C-sections
*Postpartum hemorrhage procedures
*D&C procedures
*Tubal ligations
*Complex maternal-fetal surgeries
You'll work alongside OB surgeons, anesthesia, NICU, nursing, and physician teams in a collaborative academic medical center known for advanced maternal care.

What You'll Do
*Prepare sterile surgical fields
*Set up OB operating rooms
*Assist during procedures
*Perform instrument and sponge counts
*Support emergency surgical response teams

Qualifications

• CST Certification preferred
• 2+ years Surgical Tech experience preferred
• Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Certifications

• BLS preferred
• CST - NBSTSA required
