Job Title: Estimator – Painting & Roofing

About the Role

Envision Painting & Roofing is looking for an experienced Estimator to scope, price, and win jobs across both our painting and roofing divisions. You'll walk properties, assess condition and scope, and turn what you see into an accurate, competitive bid — for residential and commercial work throughout the Greater Phoenix Metro area.

What You'll Do

• Conduct on-site walkthroughs to assess substrate, roofing system, damage severity, and access conditions
• Prepare detailed, accurate estimates for painting and roofing projects (repair, replacement, recoat, and new install)
• Identify site conditions that affect scope or price — lead paint era, wood rot, structural concerns, insurance involvement, permit requirements
• Present estimates to customers and answer scope/pricing questions
• Coordinate with project managers and crew leads to hand off won jobs cleanly
• Track pipeline and follow up on outstanding bids
• Stay current on material costs, labor rates, and code/permit requirements in the Phoenix market

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of estimating experience in painting, roofing, or general construction/exteriors
• Comfortable on ladders/roofs and assessing exterior condition firsthand
• Strong grasp of pricing fundamentals — labor, material, and complexity factors that move a bid
• Clear written and verbal communication for customer-facing proposals
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Familiarity with estimating or job-costing software is a plus
• Willing to self-generate leads and your own clients.

Compensation

- Base salary plus commission on closed jobs — total compensation scales with performance.

- Gas allowance and vehicle or vehicle allowance.
