• Participate in significant customer relationships, contract and rate negotiations, and other high-level commercial discussions.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, profitability, consistency, and organizational performance.
• Maintain strong standards for safety, compliance, workforce management, and operational execution.
• Preserve the entrepreneurial strengths of the organization while introducing the structure, discipline, and professional management necessary to support continued growth.
• Build leadership depth and succession capabilities by developing functional leaders who can independently manage their areas of responsibility.
• Partner closely with ownership and the Board to establish clear roles, decision-making authority, communication expectations, and an effective working relationship between ownership and management.

• Highly analytical, financially sophisticated, and capable of understanding the business at the operational level.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate organizational needs several years ahead.
• Steady, decisive, and effective under pressure.
• Approachable leadership style with the ability to build credibility from field-level employees through executive leadership and the Board.
• Ability to respectfully challenge senior leaders and ownership when necessary and confidently make and defend difficult decisions.
• Strong people-development skills with the ability to build capable, accountable leaders throughout the organization.
