Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager

Position Overview Our client—a rapidly growing, high-profile media company is building out its in-house Accounting & Finance function and seeking a high-caliber Senior Accountant. This is an exceptional opportunity to step into a high-visibility role, working directly alongside an experienced Controller to shape processes, strengthen controls, and drive core general ledger operations. Key Responsibilities General Ledger Ownership: Drive month-end close activities, execute complex journal entries, and perform detailed account reconciliations. Process & Controls Architecture: Partner closely with the Controller to design, strengthen, and document scalable internal controls and operational workflows. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly with the FP&A team on cost analysis, variance reporting, and strategic financial insights. Ideal Candidate: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited university or college; CPA or CPA candidate a plus. 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting principles. Excellent Microsoft Office skills with a strong emphasis on Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling). Experience with a general ledger/ERP system (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks) required; Bill.com or similar AP platform experience is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail, with proven organizational and time management skills and a strong sense of ownership and accuracy. Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven corporate finance role, with the ability to manage competing priorities under tight timelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
