HR Assistant

HR AssistantWe are seeking a detail-oriented and professional HR Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources department. This position plays a key role in employee onboarding, HR administration, record maintenance, benefits support, and recruiting coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, confidential, customer-service focused, and eager to grow within the HR field. Based on HR assistant role descriptions found in enterprise resources, common responsibilities include employee record management, recruiting support, onboarding coordination, HRIS maintenance, and employee communication support.ResponsibilitiesAssist with onboarding and new hire paperworkMaintain accurate employee records and HR filesSupport recruiting efforts by scheduling interviews and communicating with candidatesProcess employee status changes, terminations, and data updatesAssist with benefits enrollment and employee questionsSupport leave administration, including FMLA and other employee leave requestsMaintain HRIS and timekeeping recordsComplete employment verifications and other HR documentationAssist with open enrollment activities and employee communicationsCoordinate employee events, training sessions, and orientation programsEnsure confidentiality and compliance with employment regulationsProvide administrative support to the HR team and leadershipQualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred1+ years of administrative or HR experienceExperience with HRIS systems preferred (ADP, UKG, Paycom, Workday, or similar)Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and OutlookExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to handle confidential information with professionalismDetail-oriented with strong follow-throughPreferred ExperienceEmployee onboarding and orientationBenefits administrationHRIS data entry and reportingBackground checks and employment verificationLeave administration (FMLA, ADA, LOA)Payroll supportCompliance and employee record managementPay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
