To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position, please review this tip sheet.The University of Miami Health System (“UHealth”) IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Shipping & Receiving Clerk to work in Miami, Florida.The Shipping & Receiving Clerk assembles and prepares items for shipment and receives incoming shipments. Further, an employee in this position maintains detailed reports of items received, and deliveries and distributions made.Core Responsibilities:* Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.* Unpacks materials and supplies and ensures accuracy.* Makes delivery of items received to appropriate location or department.* Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposes.* Retrieves surplus equipment or supplies.* Requests product return authorizations and processes required documents.* Tracks orders and enters information regarding order and delivery details into appropriate database.* Responds to inquiries and concerns regarding ordered items.* Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.***This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.*****MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*** High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license* Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required* Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.* Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.* Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.* Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.***Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.***The University of Miami offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, tuition remission and more.UHealth-University of Miami Health System, South Florida's only university-based health system, provides leading-edge patient care powered by the ground breaking research and medical education at the Miller School of Medicine.
