Regional Manager

Seeking 10+ years of multifamily experience, including 5+ years as a Regional Manager, with Class A/luxury and affordable/workforce housing experience preferred.

Lead operations across Class A, B, and C multifamily properties, with a strong focus on luxury assets, overseeing P&L, budgets, NOI, occupancy, teams, vendors, and property performance.


We are a Los Angeles-based owner, operator, and developer of multifamily real estate across California and the Southeast. We're looking for a high-energy, hands-on Regional Manager to lead operations for a portfolio of properties managed both in-house and through third-party management companies. This role owns performance end-to-end: budgets, NOI, occupancy, property condition, maintenance operations, vendor relationships, and the teams on the ground.


Schedule

• 1 day/week corporate office, 4 days/week in the field

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across in-house and third-party managed properties, driving occupancy, NOI, and expense targets.
• Build, prepare, and manage annual capital and operating budgets; monitor monthly results and correct course as needed.
• Recruit, train, and lead property and maintenance teams; coach on-site leadership and hold staff accountable to results.
• Oversee property condition and maintenance staff/task completion; conduct regular property visits and inspections.
• Manage vendor relationships and lead negotiations to secure the best pricing on contracts and services.
• Drive resident retention through proactive service standards and consistent asset presentation.
• Review and approve capital projects at properties, ensuring quality and budget compliance.
• Partner with third-party management companies to align performance with ownership's standards and goals.
• Report on portfolio performance in monthly/quarterly meetings with Executive Management.

What You Bring

• 10 years' experience in multifamily property management, 5 of those years as a Regional Manager.
• Must have experience with full P&L and budget ownership.
• Strong experience managing Class A/luxury multifamily properties; experience with Class B/C and affordable/workforce housing is highly preferred.
• Ability to adapt management strategies and operational standards across different property classes and resident demographics.
• Proven track record building and leading high-performing on-site teams.
• Working knowledge of Fair Housing and Landlord-Tenant laws.
• Strong vendor negotiation skills and a sharp eye for cost control without sacrificing quality.
• High energy, hands-on, "roll-up-your-sleeves" approach - comfortable spending most of the week in the field.
• Excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to hold teams and vendors accountable.
• Flexible and willing to travel between properties; evenings/weekends as needed.
