Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring ACLS certification and prior telemetry rhythm interpretation experience at a Level II Trauma Center.

Job Details

• Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit within a South Tower hospital setting,
• 36-bed unit with 1:6 patient ratios,
• Utilizes unit secretaries and patient care techs with staffing that fluctuates by census,
• Equipment includes telemetry monitors in each room, Dynamaps, glucometers, iMobile phones, and bladder scanners,
• Documentation completed in Meditech,
• 12-hour night shifts from 7P-7A,
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required,
• Floating to other units required as needed,
• Performs procedures including PICC line removal and vas cath/temp cath removal,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (LA or Compact) required,
• BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry experience required,
• Meditech charting experience required,
• Telemetry rhythm interpretation skills required,
• Strong assessment skills and ability to identify condition changes,
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted),
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

• Perform hourly rounding, bedside shift report, and AIDET-based patient experience practices,
• Utilize My Care Boards for patient communication,
• Highly experienced nursing staff, including nationally certified team members and unit manager,
• Advanced technology in use including iMobile devices, Dynamaps integrated with Meditech, and an advanced call light system,
• Self-scheduling available within unit guidelines,
• Ceil blue scrubs required per facility dress code,
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
