Project Manager

Position Summary We are looking for a Project Manager to own the master production schedule across our Builds, Chassis, and Interiors divisions, sequencing work against shop capacity, station throughput, and material availability so delivery commitments stay realistic and trustworthy. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and does not report to, or take direction from, any division manager. On time jobs are updated to customers through the standard account advocate process. When a job falls behind schedule, the Project Manager steps in directly, providing the current status and, when needed, having that conversation with the customer. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain the master production schedule across Builds, Chassis, and Interiors Develop and adhere to scope through active change management both internally and with customers. Translate sales commitments and job intake into realistic build slots, in coordination with division managers and the VP of Operations Re-sequence the schedule as jobs move, stall, or get added, and flag capacity conflicts before they become missed dates Provide the on-time delivery data for use in standard customer updates Own direct customer communication when a job falls behind schedule, including status updates and, when needed, the conversation itself Partner with Sales and the Customer Advocate on the sales to production handoff, so commitments made at the point-of-sale match what the shop can deliver Act as the main point of contact for order status inquiries from division managers, Sales, and leadership Identify and elevate schedule risk, material shortages, and resourcing conflicts to the VP of Operations Coordinate with Supply Chain on material timing so procurement lead times are reflected in the schedule Maintain the schedule of record in Odoo, including Work Orders and job level timing Qualifications 3 or more years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or project scheduling, ideally in a low volume, high mix, made to order manufacturing environment Comfortable delivering direct, sometimes difficult schedule updates to customers when a job falls behind Working knowledge of ERP or MRP systems; Odoo experience is a plus but not required Strong organizational skills and comfort holding a schedule together across multiple teams with competing priorities Clear, direct communicator, able to deliver both good news and bad news without softening it into ambiguity Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered Use of Microsoft Office suite of tools including Microsoft Project Physical & Work Environment Requirements Full-time, on-site position in Gilbert, AZ Comfortable spending time on the shop floor across all divisions, including around fabrication equipment Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and move safely through an active shop environment Comply with all OSHA, company safety, and PPE requirements at all times Value Added Skills -- Preferred, Not Required Custom vehicle, fabrication, or low volume automotive manufacturing background Experience with Odoo or a comparable ERP/MRP platform Background coordinating cross functionally with sales and finance teams Compensation & Structure Full-time position with benefits, paid time off, and advancement opportunities within the Fat Fender Garage team #J-18808-Ljbffr
