Our client seeks an Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting operations, general ledger reconciliations, cash activities, and regulatory filings. The role will contribute to financial reporting and analysis with careful attention to detail and initiative in a fast-paced environment. The position emphasizes accuracy in daily transactions, compliance support, and collaboration across accounting functions to meet deadlines and controls.

We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $34.00 to $30.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily operations across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and cash reconciliations.

• Assist with posting member payments in the policy administration system.

• Support daily cash management with banks.

• Balance cash to transactions and investigate discrepancies.

• Assist with AP processing and disbursements.

• Support unclaimed property filings.

• Assist with monthly reinsurance activities.

• Complete requirements for the annual audit of financial statements.

Experience Requirements:

• Experience with daily accounting operations including AR, AP, and cash reconciliation.

• Experience posting payments in an administrative or accounting system.

• Experience with bank cash management processes.

• Experience balancing cash to underlying transactions.

• Experience supporting unclaimed property filings.

• Experience assisting with reinsurance accounting activities.

• Experience supporting annual financial statement audits.

• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
