School Director Are you the School Director we have been looking for? In this role, you will provide strong instructional and operational leadership across two campus locations, fostering a cohesive school community focused on academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and postsecondary readiness for students with complex learning profiles. The Victor School is a Massachusetts Approved Private Special Education Day School Program serving students in grades 6-12 across campuses in Acton and Sudbury, MA. Our students have diverse learning profiles, strong academic potential, and postsecondary goals that are supported through a rigorous, highly supportive educational environment. Fully approved by DESE, The Victor School partners closely with students, families, districts, and clinical providers to deliver challenging college-preparatory academics within a safe, therapeutic school setting. The School Director will oversee educational quality, campus cohesion, and student success across both locations while leading large multidisciplinary teams in an 11-month school program. The pay range for this position is $53,000 to $128,000 per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future. In this role, you will: Provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction for two campus locations, ensuring consistency in educational programming, school culture, and student experience. Lead large multidisciplinary school teams with a focus on instructional excellence, collaboration, accountability, and responsive problem-solving. Promote a shared vision for high-quality teaching, learning, and college readiness for students with social-emotional and learning needs. Oversee rigorous special education programming that aligns with student IEPs, supports strong academic outcomes, and prepares students for college and future success. Ensure classrooms across both campuses provide structured, engaging, and therapeutic learning environments that support student growth. Monitor curriculum implementation, instructional practices, student progress, and school-wide outcomes to drive continuous improvement. Ensure both campuses operate in compliance with DESE regulations, licensing standards, and contractual obligations while supporting high-quality educational programming. Maintain strong oversight of student records, documentation systems, and compliance processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. Uphold organizational policies and school-based procedures that promote safety, accountability, and alignment across both campuses. Supervise and develop educational leaders and staff across both campuses, including coaching, performance feedback, goal setting, and professional growth. Build a strong staff culture grounded in collaboration, high expectations, and shared responsibility for student achievement and well-being. Support recruitment, staffing, and retention strategies that sustain strong instructional and clinical teams. Foster safe, inclusive, and academically focused school communities where students feel known, supported, and challenged. Ensure effective systems of behavioral, social-emotional, and academic support that promote engagement, attendance, and positive student outcomes. Partner with families, districts, and internal teams to support student progress, transitions, and individualized planning. Maintain high expectations for supervision, safety, and consistency across classrooms, transportation, and community-based activities. Oversee daily operations across both campuses to ensure organized, student-centered, and mission-aligned programming. Ensure the effective delivery of educational and related services in alignment with IEPs, DESE requirements, and program goals. Support admissions, referral, transition, and discharge processes to maintain continuity of care and strong school-district partnerships. Monitor enrollment, staffing patterns, and program capacity to meet student needs and sustain high-quality programming across both locations. Why JRI? Be who you are!
