This position involves providing top-quality care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. Unit Information Number of Beds: 101 Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1, up to 7:1 on behavioral holds Documentation System: Cerner Staffing Description: Support staff including techs and clerks are available Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend required, flexible scheduling based on departmental needs Floating Policy: Floating within the Emergency Department only Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting Experience in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center with high volume (>100,000 visits per year) preferred Strong teamwork skills and ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback Certifications (to be completed prior to start): ACLS BLS PALS TNCC CPI NIHSS ENPC (within 90 days of hire) Responsibilities As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, your primary responsibilities will include: Delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring patient safety Performing nursing assessments and developing patient care plans Coordinating patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation Engaging with patients and their families to provide support and education Additional Information This department is known for its teamwork and welcoming atmosphere.
