Preprocessor – Real Estate Settlements/Title Industry

Location: Chantilly, Virginia

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Cardinal Title Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Preprocessor to join our growing team at our Chantilly, Virginia headquarters.

The Preprocessor plays an important role in the real estate settlement process by providing front-end support to our processing team and helping ensure files are complete, accurate, and moving efficiently toward closing.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable managing multiple files and deadlines, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Previous title or real estate settlement experience is preferred, but we are also interested in candidates who are eager to learn and grow within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide front-end support to settlement processors throughout the closing process
• Order and track surveys, title abstracts, title commitments, loan payoffs, judgments, and other required documentation
• Communicate professionally with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction
• Obtain and organize documentation necessary to prepare files for settlement
• Assist with the preparation of deeds and other settlement-related documents
• Maintain accurate and organized electronic files
• Monitor outstanding items and follow up as necessary to keep transactions moving toward closing
• Assist processors and other team members with administrative and file-related tasks
• Provide responsive, professional customer service to clients and industry partners

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in the title, settlement, mortgage, or real estate industry preferred
• Experience with Qualia or other title/settlement software is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple active files simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as experience grows

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• College degree preferred, but not required
