LHH is looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Accountant to join a leadership team and oversee all financial operations in our client's , CA office. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys both strategic planning and hands-on financial management in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The anticipated salary for this role is between $75,000-$95,000 a year.

Responsibilities:

· Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across departments.

· Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior leadership and the Board.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations

· Manage and oversee internal and external audits; maintain thorough and accurate financial records.

· Supervise daily accounting functions such as accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and collections.

· Collaborate with leadership to evaluate new initiatives and provide ROI analysis to support strategic priorities.

· Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving strategies while maintaining financial integrity.

· Lead, mentor, and support finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and excellence.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

· 5-7 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in higher education.

· Strong background in budget management, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar.

· Hands-on leadership style with a proven ability to develop and motivate team members.

· Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.

· Strategic and analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
