Trade Compliance Export Specialist Business Unit: Draeger Medical Systems, Inc. | Job ID: 1142 | Location: Telford, PA / Andover, MA | Function: Production | Work Location: Hybrid | Employment Type: Permanent Job Responsibilities We are seeking a Trade Compliance Export Specialist to work in our Andover, MA or Telford, PA office. This position can also be remote. Main Responsibilities Implement, maintain, and continuously improve compliance management systems to ensure adherence to applicable trade regulations, including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC requirements (product and technology classifications, license determinations, record‑keeping, auditing, monitoring and screening). Execute daily trade compliance activities: restricted party and SPL screening for order/partner releases, releasing U.S. export orders, visitor screening reviews and approvals, MSR (Manual Shipment Request) reviews and approvals, AES filing in ACE, and preparing/submitting export license applications through DDTC and SNAP‑R. Audit and manage record‑keeping systems for accuracy and compliance with regulations and company policies. Administer compliance policies, programs, processes, and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and Draeger's global and local policies. Research and review new or changing legislation and assess potential impact on Draeger's trade compliance program. Conduct internal audits across functions and company operations to assure compliance effectiveness and identify improvement areas. Work cross‑functionally with other departments involved in import or export to provide guidance and direction. Serve as a designated Empowered Official, representing the company in ITAR‑related matters: review, approve, and certify export authorizations, technical data releases, and license applications to ensure full regulatory compliance. Perform other duties as needed and assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (strongly preferred); comparable education and experience considered. Minimum 5+ years of job‑related professional experience. Prior experience in an export compliance position required. Experience in determining product classifications. Experience implementing a trade compliance program for a global organization. Industry and technical knowledge of safety products and/or medical equipment is a plus. Export certifications (CES) or licenses are a plus. Compensation and Benefits The targeted pay range for this position is typically between $74,800 and $89,800. Base pay may vary based on market location and individual qualifications. The position is eligible for an annual bonus.
