Order Processing Specialist / Data Entry Clerk

Location: Blaine, MN (On-Site)

Pay: $18.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM-6:00 PM (can be flexible)

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Start Date: Targeted for 11/16/2026

A family-owned manufacturing company in Blaine is seeking an Order Processing Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with data entry, customer service, or administrative experience who enjoys technology, problem-solving, and working in a collaborative environment.

You'll serve as a key link between customers, the CAD/design team, and production, helping ensure orders move smoothly through the manufacturing process. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on computers, managing multiple screens, learning technical processes, and providing outstanding customer support.

• Process and enter customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Support the CAD team by helping move orders through the production workflow
• Act as a point of contact for customer questions regarding design-related requests
• Provide order updates and customer support throughout the order lifecycle
• Review and manage order queues to ensure timely processing
• Maintain accurate customer and order records
• Assist with purchase orders, service orders, and order fulfillment processes
• Collaborate with customer service, design, and production teams
• Navigate multiple computer screens and software systems throughout the day
• Escalate complex customer inquiries when necessary

Required

• Minimum 6 months of professional experience
• Data entry, order entry, or administrative experience
• Customer service experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently
• Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities

Preferred

• Previous manufacturing industry experience
• Experience processing orders or supporting production environments
• Experience working with part numbers, purchase orders, or fulfillment systems

Candidates who are comfortable navigating technology, multitasking between screens, and learning new systems tend to excel in this position. In fact, individuals with gaming experience have historically performed very well due to their ability to process information quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and work efficiently in a digital environment.

This family-owned manufacturing company creates custom templates used in large-scale cardboard production. Their products help create everyday items such as pizza box inserts, cereal boxes, retail displays, promotional signage, and movie standees.

This role is fully on-site at the Blaine facility. Employees spend most of the day at a computer in an office setting while occasionally visiting the production floor to better understand products and processes. The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
