Accounts Payable Specialist

Key Responsibilities Timely and accurate AP voucher entry Apply correct general ledger and project codes to the AP vouchers Assist (internal clients) with preparation of electronic Purchase Orders Respond to vendor phone and mail inquiries Review and process employee expense reports bi-weekly Coordinate processing of vendor payments weekly, including checks & E-checks Promptly communicate any vendor pricing or payment timing issues and assist in resolving disputed terms or transactions Complete vendor statement reconciliations monthly Assist with 1099 preparation On occasion, ability to travel to other GZA office locations GZA emphasizes a One Company environment, and as a member of our team, you may be asked to assist on projects and tasks outside of your primary responsibilities Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting or a related field and 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a professional services environment Experience with Deltek Accounting Software is a plus Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Willingness to learn and adapt to change, evolving technologies, and AI‑driven tools The salary for this position may range between $26‑32/hr. The actual base salary and total compensation will depend on many factors, including location, candidate experience, education, professional licensure, and other qualifications.
