Area Manager I

Area Manager, Custodial Services – Goodwill Columbus, Columbus, OH Pay: Starting at $50,000 Schedule: Full-time, salaried; rotating shifts (some weekends and on-call as needed) What You’ll Do Lead and coach teams of supervisors and custodial staff across multiple sites Support employee growth by training, giving feedback, and meeting team members where they are, helping them overcome challenges and build skills Build strong client relationships and serve as the main point of contact for assigned locations Plan schedules and staffing to meet contract needs and ensure coverage Keep operations running smoothly by managing supplies, equipment, and daily workflows Solve problems quickly and support your team when challenges come up Help manage budgets and keep operations on track Ensure safety by promoting safe work practices and a clean environment Review timecards and payroll details for accuracy Be available for on-call needs or urgent situations What We’re Looking For Enjoy leading teams and helping people grow Be comfortable working in multiple locations and environments Be organized and manage several priorities at once Communicate clearly and build strong relationships Stay calm and make good decisions when things get busy Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent At least 5 years of leadership experience in custodial, janitorial, or a related field What to Expect You’ll work at different customer sites, indoors and outdoors The role includes standing, walking, bending, and light lifting Some exposure to cleaning equipment, noise, and weather conditions A flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call support Why Goodwill Columbus?
