Salary: $230,000-$275,000/year
Company Description

We're representing an early-stage cybersecurity company building an autonomous security team for the enterprise. The company is developing a new approach to how organizations identify and address security issues using AI and automation.

The company is backed by 8VC and prominent technology executives and founders and is now hiring its first U.S. Head of Marketing.

This is a foundational marketing leadership role with the opportunity to define the company's brand, demand-generation strategy, and category narrative from the ground up while building the marketing organization alongside the founders.
What You Will Do

• Build and lead the company's U.S. marketing function from the ground up.
• Hire and develop the marketing team as the company scales.
• Own the company's positioning and category narrative around autonomous security.
• Develop a high-signal brand that establishes the company as a recognizable voice within cybersecurity.
• Own thought leadership across channels including LinkedIn, X, interviews, and other industry platforms.
• Build and run a recurring webinar program featuring customers, product updates, industry topics, and analysts.
• Develop the company's event strategy across major cybersecurity conferences and industry gatherings.
• Create targeted event experiences including sponsorships, dinners, meetups, and other opportunities to engage directly with buyers.
• Develop partnerships across the AI, developer, and cybersecurity ecosystems and turn those relationships into meaningful market announcements.
• Build a recurring program for publishing model evaluations and technical findings.
• Help grow the company's ethical hacker and security findings programs.
• Partner closely with Sales to support outbound efforts with strong messaging, collateral, and targeted vertical campaigns.
• Develop marketing strategies that generate awareness and pipeline as the go-to-market organization scales.
• Work directly with the founders to determine where the company should invest its marketing resources.
• Own both brand and demand generation, rather than operating within a narrowly defined marketing function.

Ideal Background

• Experience at the Director or Senior Director level in Growth, Demand Generation, or a similarly broad marketing leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, build, and lead a marketing function.
• Experience creating marketing strategy in an early-stage or high-growth environment.
• Strong background across demand generation, events, partnerships, content, and brand positioning.
• Able to develop a compelling category narrative around a technical product.
• Experience translating complex technology into messaging that resonates with enterprise buyers.
• Strong understanding of how marketing should support enterprise sales and pipeline creation.
• Comfortable building targeted campaigns and vertical-specific GTM programs.
• Able to operate with significant independence rather than inheriting an established marketing organization and playbook.
• Comfortable working directly with founders and senior leadership.
• Willing to remain hands-on while simultaneously building the team and long-term marketing strategy.
• Based in the United States.

Preferred

• Previous experience in cybersecurity.
• Track record of building market presence and pipeline at a high-growth security company.
• Existing understanding of enterprise security buyers and the cybersecurity ecosystem.
• Experience developing thought-leadership programs around emerging technical categories.
• Strong events background, particularly within cybersecurity or enterprise technology.
• Experience developing strategic partnerships across AI, developer tools, or security.
• Familiarity with analyst relations and customer-led webinar programs.
• Experience marketing highly technical products to enterprise audiences.
• Understanding of AI security, autonomous security, ethical hacking, or related areas.
• Experience building a recognizable category or brand before the company had an established marketing organization.

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation: $230,000-$275,000.
