Field Engineer

Seeking an experienced Senior Field Engineer to support geotechnical, hydrology, and site development activities for a major copper mining project based in Arizona . This is a high-impact field and project engineering role focused on supporting feasibility studies, coordinating site activities, and delivering critical technical projects across a large-scale mining operation. Key Responsibilities Support the Senior Geotechnical Engineer with feasibility study activities and technical project delivery Manage and coordinate field engineering and geotechnical site projects Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and cross-functional site teams Perform field explorations, geologic reconnaissance, mapping, and sample collection Support hydrology and geotechnical data acquisition programs Install and oversee borehole testing and piezometer programs Conduct workplace examinations, site inspections, and hazard identification activities QA/QC field and technical data collected on site Review technical reports and provide summaries, recommendations, and project updates Ensure all activities are completed in line with safety, environmental, and operational standards Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and reporting Support planning and execution of ongoing site development activities Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Civil, Geological, Geotechnical, Hydrology, or related Engineering/Science discipline Strong experience within field engineering, geotechnical, or site project environments Experience managing projects, contractors, and field-based activities Background in mining, heavy industrial, civil, or infrastructure sectors Experience with borehole testing, instrumentation, or piezometer installation Strong understanding of field data collection, QA/QC, and reporting processes Proficient with Microsoft Office and related technical software Strong communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills Valid driver’s licence with ability to travel to and from site Preferred Experience Experience supporting feasibility studies or major capital projects Knowledge of MinePlan, Propeller, monitoring platforms, or related mining software Exposure to copper mining, earthworks, or large-scale site development projects Experience working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams What’s on Offer Opportunity to support a major copper mining development project in Arizona Exposure to large-scale feasibility, geotechnical, and hydrology programs High-visibility role working alongside experienced technical and operational teams Long-term career progression within a global mining and metals organization Collaborative and safety-focused working environment Opportunity to work across both field and office-based engineering activities Annual performance bonus Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) plan with company contribution and match Company-paid life insurance, AD&D, and disability coverage Paid time off, holidays, and sick leave Ongoing training, development, and career progression opportunities Additional Information This is an on-site position based near Sahuarita, Arizona Site is located approximately 45 minutes southwest of Tucson Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States Successful candidates may be required to complete background, physical, and drug screening processes Role will involve both office and field-based work within active mining and project environments #J-18808-Ljbffr Ember Grey
