Work Environment

This position is onsite at our vibrant outpatient office. You will be part of a cohesive team comprising two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a structured yet flexible approach to patient care and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the objectives and healthcare requirements of each patient.
• Manage a patient load of one patient per hour to ensure thorough treatment and attention to individualized care plans.
• Develop and implement effective treatment strategies aimed at minimizing medication use and avoiding surgical intervention whenever possible.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and modalities suited to each patient's unique needs.
• Collaborate closely with fellow healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to enhance the overall quality of patient care.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans based on response to therapy.
• Motivate and inspire patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, encouraging them to achieve their functional capabilities.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient treatment, progress, and communication, utilizing EMR systems like WebPT.
• Promote wellness through educational materials and lifestyle recommendations that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will predominantly work with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our diverse patient base ranges from athletes seeking performance enhancement to seniors aiming to maintain mobility and independence. Your role will be crucial in tailoring rehabilitation programs to fit their personal health goals and functional requirements.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, along with certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in California.
• A clean professional record, free from board actions or disciplinary measures against the license, is mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise regimen development.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with current physical therapy practices and evidence-based interventions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop customized rehabilitation programs based on clinical assessments.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
