Work Environment

This position offers a unique opportunity to work onsite in a home care environment rather than in a traditional clinic. This approach allows you to engage with patients in their personal spaces, fostering a more personalized healing experience. You will work Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a stable work-life balance while dedicating your efforts to improving the lives of those you serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and understand the individual goals and needs of each patient, creating tailored care plans that reflect their specific rehabilitation objectives.
• Maintain a consistent patient schedule, typically managing one patient per hour, ensuring dedicated attention and quality care.
• Utilize evidence-based treatments to increase patients' mobility, strength, and functional abilities, focusing on reducing their reliance on medications and surgical options.
• Design and implement customized exercise regimens, emphasizing the importance of a healthy lifestyle, strength training, flexibility, and coordination.
• Employ superior manual therapy techniques to promote pain relief and facilitate movement in patients recovering from orthopedic conditions.
• Ensure close monitoring of patient progress, regularly evaluating treatment effectiveness and adjusting care strategies as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to patient care, ensuring all aspects of a patient's health are considered.
• Document all treatment sessions meticulously, maintaining a thorough record for continuous improvement and compliance with healthcare standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with patients who have orthopedic injuries or conditions, primarily those covered by private medical insurance. You will assist individuals of varying ages—from young athletes recovering from sports injuries to seniors working to regain independence after joint replacements. This diverse clientele will provide you with opportunities to employ a wide range of therapeutic techniques tailored to each unique case.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• Valid physical therapy license in the State of California, with no disciplinary actions or board actions against the license.
• Strong manual therapy skills coupled with the ability to effectively develop and implement exercise programs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to enhance productivity and documentation accuracy.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of prior experience as a Physical Therapist, particularly in an orthopedic outpatient setting or a home care environment, is preferred.
• Proven track record of successful patient outcomes and the ability to motivate clients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Experience with a variety of treatment methodologies and a willingness to engage in continuous professional development.

Compensation and Benefits

This position boasts a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
