About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Controller to lead its accounting function and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strength of internal controls and delivering meaningful financial insights to support executive and Board decision-making. This role involves partnering with the CFO, executive team, auditors, regulators, and Board committees on key financial matters, as well as supporting investment accounting, liquidity management, and asset-liability management activities. The ideal candidate will have significant accounting leadership and management experience within a financial institution, a strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory requirements, and a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams. Applicants for the Vice President, Controller position at the company should possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA and/or master’s degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred. The role requires a candidate with strong analytical, problem-solving, process improvement, and communication skills, as well as the ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively with executive leadership. The company values a candidate who can drive continuous improvement of accounting systems, processes, and technology adoption, including the responsible use of AI tools where appropriate.
