Commercial Litigation Attorney

A well-regarded litigation boutique in New Orleans, LA is seeking a mid-level Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic and sophisticated practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 3--6 years of experience to work on complex, high-stakes commercial matters alongside seasoned litigators in a collaborative and hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of complex commercial litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial issues
• Manage discovery, including written discovery, depositions, and document review
• Appear in court for hearings, oral arguments, and related proceedings
• Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments and strategy
• Support matters across a range of practice areas including class actions, securities litigation, insurance coverage, appellate, and other complex civil matters

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership in Louisiana in good standing (or eligibility for admission)
• 3--6 years of commercial litigation experience
• BigLaw or litigation boutique background preferred
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously with a high degree of independence
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 and $200,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
