Research Assistant

Position Summary In addition to collecting data—administering questionnaires and observational protocols, collecting child urine, weighing and measuring participants—the Research Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for mothers enrolled in the study and is responsible for re‑enrolling mothers in the follow‑up study and for retention efforts. The recruitment coordinator also assists with related duties as needed. The role requires strong interpersonal skills with individuals of diverse socio‑economic and cultural backgrounds, comfort interacting with young children, reliable transportation, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. The Research Assistant will be closely supervised by the Senior Research Assistant, Project Coordinator, Principal Investigator, and Co‑Investigators. Minimum Qualifications Master's or Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies, Psychology, or a related field and at least one year of prior research experience. Strong oral presentation skills, excellent interpersonal skills with diverse populations, reliable transportation, and willingness to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
