Head Of Finance And Facilities OperationsThe Head Of Finance And Facilities Operations serves as the senior financial and operational leader responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the school's finance, accounting, business operations, facilities, financial aid, risk management, and administrative services. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this executive partners with the leadership team and Board to ensure sound fiscal stewardship, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and the long-term sustainability of the school while supporting its Catholic mission.Finance and Accounting:Lead all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, investments, and asset managementAdvise the President, executive leadership, Finance Committee, and Board on short-, medium-, and long-term financial strategies and projectionsPrepare monthly financial statements, Board reporting packages, key performance indicators, and financial analysesDevelop long-range financial models, capital budgets, and deferred maintenance funding plansOversee accounting operations, annual independent audits, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and implementation of business policies and proceduresMonitor financial performance, tuition revenue, and institutional resources to support strategic decision-makingFacilities and Operations:Provide executive oversight of campus facilities, maintenance, capital improvement projects, vendor contracts, food service, insurance, legal agreements, and operational servicesDevelop capital improvement and deferred maintenance plansOversee fixed asset inventories and replacement schedulesEnsure campus facilities are safe, well maintained, and operationally efficientRecommend procedures that minimize organizational risk and liabilityPayroll and Employee Compensation:Provide support for payroll processing to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll administration during absences or peak processing periodsPartner with Human Resources to implement compensation changes in PaylocityEnsure faculty compensation complies with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and applicable policiesMaintain payroll records and oversee payroll audits and reconciliationsFinancial Aid and Student Accounts:Provide strategic oversight of tuition planning, financial aid administration, student account management, tuition receivables, and collection activitiesCollaborate with the Financial Aid Manager to administer financial aid in support of the School's mission and recommend annual tuition adjustmentsLeadership:Serve as a member of the executive leadership teamSupervise finance, accounting, financial aid, facilities, and related business office staffEstablish policies and procedures supporting efficient business operationsAdvise the President and Board on financial strategy, operational priorities, and institutional risk managementRepresent the School in finance, facilities, and operational matters with external partners and regulatory agencies as appropriateQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CPA or MBA preferredFive or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in finance and operations, preferably in a nonprofit or educational environmentStrong knowledge of nonprofit accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, facilities management, financial systems, and risk managementExperience preparing Board-level financial reports, leading audits, and managing multiple operational functionsProficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, cloud-based financial systems (Sage Intacct preferred), Paylocity, and tuition management systems is preferredTo apply, please send the documents listed below to Serra Human Resources.Please download and complete the required employment application.Cover letter and resumeList of references or at least four letters of recommendationAll employees of the Archdiocese of San Francisco shall be employed without regard to race, color, sex, ethnic or national origin and pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal history.
