Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our modern Rehabilitation Center in Port Saint Lucie, where we utilize state-of-the-art equipment and facilities to provide comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to recognize their physical therapy objectives and personal needs.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, typically treating one patient per hour to ensure focused and high-quality care.
• Design and implement effective and cost-efficient treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Administer innovative therapies aimed at enhancing clients' range of motion, mobility, and overall functionality.
• Minimize medication reliance through non-surgical interventions, educating patients about alternative treatment options.
• Create personalized fitness and wellness programs based on the individual goals and conditions of each patient.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their treatment to engage actively in their rehabilitation process.
• Document patient progress meticulously and maintain clear communication with both patients and team members regarding treatment outcomes.
• Foster a culture of health and wellness by promoting practices that improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient management and care continuity.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation. You will work with a diverse population, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals with chronic pain, and patients post-surgery seeking to regain function. Your goal will be to enhance their quality of life through effective rehabilitation and education.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Master's Degree (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) is preferred.
• Current license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida, with no record of board or disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and in designing and implementing exercise programs tailored to individual needs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT, for efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have prior experience working within orthopedic outpatient settings. Familiarity with rehabilitative protocols and a demonstrated ability to manage diverse patient cases will significantly enhance your effectiveness in this role.
