Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, as the Physical Therapist will provide in-home care to patients throughout Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Working in patients' homes allows us to assess their functional abilities within their daily environments, ensuring tailored treatment plans that promote recovery and independence. Our full-time schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility to accommodate unique patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patient mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, educating them on techniques and body mechanics to enhance recovery and prevent additional injuries.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound therapy, and heat/cold therapy under professional supervision.
• Monitor and document ongoing patient progress, ensuring adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on clinical evaluation.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are well organized and ready for use during sessions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver coordinated, holistic care.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement throughout the rehabilitation process, fostering an uplifting and motivational environment.
• Adhere to professional and ethical standards, maintaining patient confidentiality, dignity, and respect at all times.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Must possess a valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in home care.
