Full-Time Physical Therapist for Home Care Services

Work Environment

The position is specifically an onsite role, where you will conduct therapy sessions in the comfort of patients' homes, allowing for a personalized treatment experience. You will work regular hours from Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, giving you an excellent work-life balance. The home care setting empowers you to build meaningful relationships with your patients and provide therapy interventions that are tailored to their everyday environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and formulate achievable goals to improve their mobility and overall functionality.
• Manage a patient load, typically conducting one-on-one therapy sessions with each patient for an hour at a time.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques to administer effective treatment protocols that maximize mobility and reduce pain.
• Design and execute comprehensive treatment plans based on initial evaluations, ensuring each program is tailored to individual patient requirements.
• Encourage patients to adhere to their prescribed therapy regimens while motivating them to adopt healthier lifestyles.
• Stay updated with new therapeutic techniques and methods, integrating them into your practice as appropriate.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient management and communication.
• Document patient progress meticulously and evaluate treatment outcomes to adjust care plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population, primarily targeting individuals requiring orthopedic rehabilitation. This includes patients recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain conditions, or seeking to enhance their physical abilities post-injury. Your empathetic approach will create a supportive environment that fosters patient trust and encourages their active participation in the recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, with no record of disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
• Experience with electronic medical records software, specifically WebPT, to ensure accurate patient records management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable, providing you with the specific skills needed for this role.
• A background in home care therapy would be an advantage, as it aligns closely with our practice setting.
• Demonstrated ability to implement evidence-based practices and maintain a patient-centered approach.

Compensation and Benefits
